Hello, my m-audio Track eight works very well with any other software I have on my machine (Windows 8.1 based), but not with VMix
VMix has a fixed latency (about 1000 samples) no matter what I choose as buffer on control panel...
Please VMix people or other isers, any word of wisdom? :-)
Thank you
Stefano

All audio sources in vMix are delayed by design to sync with video which has a 2-3 frame delay. This includes ASIO devices. 1000 samples is equal to around 20 milliseconds.

Understood, but with another soundcard (Mout Audio Express) I can change the buffer of the asio driver and reach a very low latency, with M-audio if I change buffer size nothing happens on VMix and the latency is very high (my indication of 1000 samples is probably inaccurate, with Motu it's way better)

Check the Documents\vMixStorage\logs directory. There should be some information in those logs about what buffer sizes vMix selects for ASIO and why.

Hello, in logs if the card chosen is M-Audio M-Track Eight the buffer is always 960 samples, no matter what I choose in M-audio control panel With Motu it follows the preferences of Motu panel
Thank you
