I've been working on a couple of workarounds for bugs in the Optimus driver that can be tested out below: IMPORTANT: Settings -> Performance options should be changed to turn FlipEx back ON (default) before running this update. Reset the settings to default if you are unsure.http://www.vmix.com/download/vmix17.97.exeThose seeing errors on Laptops with Optimus are encouraged to try the beta above and report if it solves the problem. Just had the same problem on my new Asus Laptop when trying to set it to use the Nvidea GPU mentioned in other posts and found this answer.
can confirm vMix is starting again
my question though is am I in fact Using the Nvidia ?
- told Nvidea to use them when using vMix (Nvidea control panel) - in vMix enable Optimus Graphics comp is set - see no GPU activity (tray icon) choise of graphic adapter is still default or standard graphics to choose form as before
