I don't know when it happened, but it must have been recently... I have this setup - Overlay 1 is set to picture in picture (lower right corner of the screen) - A shortcut for the F8 key that toggles OverlayInput1Zoom This worked well for me until I tried it again today, after not using it for a while (it doesn't toggle the zoom). If I set up a new shortcut key (the letter M) with OverlayInput1Zoom, it works, but not if I try using F8. On a related note, one of my customers (who recently licensed VMix Basic HD) is having the same issue (I sent him a copy of my preferences as a starting point) However, his Overlay1 is stuck in full screen mode, and for some reason, the Overlay settings icon does not appear on his screen at all (perhaps due to the screen resolution of his laptop??) So the two questions are... - Is assigning shortcuts to function keys broken? - How do we configure Overlay1 on his system? AlanZ attached the following image(s): missing_overlay.png (551kb) downloaded 3 time(s). resolution.png (198kb) downloaded 2 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

I faced the same problem when going to a TV monitor that was only 720p. When I tried on a 1080p TV Monitor, the button returns.
It's a resolution problem.
Hope that Helps.

Hmmm, that is problematic as he is on a laptop with no external monitor. A suggestion might be to remove the multicorder button, considering it is not active in basic hd

vMix will work in 1280x720 or higher screen resolutions, but only if the zoom level (DPI) is set to 100%. See in the screenshot where it says "Make text and other items larger or smaller" and set the DPI to 100%.

Martin, thanks for the heads up on the dpi settings. Any thoughts on the overlay zoom issue?

Resetting the dpi worked perfectly to restore the overlay button
Now, am I the only one who can't assign F8 to toggle the overlay zoom?

F8 is working here, maybe the keyboard is set to hotkey mode (a toggle that changes the FX buttons to hotkey buttons) or there is another program using that key.
