Kimberley Sinclair from vMix Support has been kind enough to submit this feature request already, but I thought I would throw it out to forum readers just to gauge interest.
I would like to see ptz controls according to ONVIF specs added to vMix. I'm sure I'm not the only person using ptz IP security cameras for my live streaming broadcasts, and most of these cameras follow the ONVIF specs. Adding ONVIF specs for ptz control would open up this feature to a large number of cameras from different manufacturers, not just PTZOptics, Sony and Panasonic. The least expensive ptz camera from these mfrs costs US$1500. I purchased three ptz IP security cameras, all with 1/2.8" CMOS sensors and 1080p resolution for US$820. My wireless mic system cost about US$280. So, for less than the cost of one ptz camera from those three mfrs, I have an entire system!
I should add that I support a feature request from another user to add ptz control to the HD version of vMix.
Any thoughts?
Thank you for your consideration.

Two other things I need to mention about my three IP cameras are 1) all are PoE or PoE+; 2) being IP cameras they do not require video capture cards from Blackmagic or anyone else. So, the cash savings is even greater when considering the absence of video capture cards. Having ONVIF ptz specs in vMix would really help out users (or potential users) establish a streaming system with minimal spending.

May I ask you how much latency you have with these IP camera's?

I very much second this request. Allowing onVif cameras to be used with vMix will be very helpful indeed. Yossi

Onvif support would be an awesome addition and I'd love it if PTZ support could be extended to HD.

Onvif could in fact increase the number of licences you can sell, because stream with IP PTZ Security cameras is more cheaper than standard hidef systems. I recently bought a IP PTZ 10x camera, and introducing as a input via rtsp via udp, and works like a charm, i will make that every events room could have 2 ptz cameras conected via Vmix, imagine the cheapest and accesible of that for every event room, how many licences you can sell if you go to that market segment, actually that segment is unattended. With the right difussion you can sell much more, focused in than clients. I'm actually selling that service for the mentioned segment, and people and clients are very interested. Invite to my page if you are interested. www.remotestream.cl

+1 !!! We're putting cameras around our city and if we could control PTZ ONVIF direct from vMix this would be a dream. Here is our first non-ptz camera though vMix. https://www.facebook.com...videos/1424546007632477/I'm just imagining it now, we could add heaps of virtual cameras and use the playlist to automatically switch between lots of different shots. And of course, cheap PTZ cameras in venues would be GREAT. +1
