The next vMix Fun Tim Live Show will be on next week. It will be at 8pm Eastern (US) Monday Evening the 16th of May or 10am on the 17th for those in Australia. Click here to find out when it's on for you.

This will be a slightly different show as Martin won't be in the studio for this one. You'll be stuck with Tim running the show, which in itself could be quite the event! Who knows what he'll do when there's no one around to tell him what to do. We'll be talking about the wash-up from NAB, some new devices, the latest vMix updates and Q and A.

We'll be streaming live and chatting via vmix.com/live

Great show Tim, well done, and I'm glad to see you trying new things, like the Skype call with Martin, which undoubtedly gives you invaluable insight into what average users have to deal with in dealing with the technology and how to use it with vMix.

The only thing that drives me crazy with most of your shows, is your looping background videos. Some are not so bad when the transition is almost seamless (Christmas scene), but others, like this week's, are very disruptive. A technique that I have sometimes used is to make an extended video clip using two instances of the original clip, but reverse the second clip with editing software. The result should be almost seamless as it plays front to back and back to front. Of course, it works best whenever noticeable movement in the background is not detected as being backwards (like someone walking or a bird flying, but subtle movement, like the traffic in Vegas or the waves from the ocean, are less likely to stand out).

Just some thoughts.

I agree! It was a last minute thing and I should've used a different video. I'll make sure the next background will loop better! Thanks for the feedback.

Also, it showed that the merge function really needs a speed control.......

The Merge transition duration (speed) is controlled like all the other transition effects by selecting the arrow next to the transition button
and typing in a duration in milliseconds.
