I would like to combine a graphic, photo or powerpoint to an audio file some when I use it the recording will show the Input graphic and the audio such as Mp3 playing in the background.

There are a couple of ways to do this, either with the "Triggers" feature or the "MultiView" feature.
The "Multiview" method is probably the simplest to set up, just add your audio input as one of the 'Overlay' channels of the Graphic input (or vice versa if you prefer).
Either way, it should work well for you. vMix is quite versatile, it's best to "play around" with it and try different things to find out what works best for you in your situation.
