We build 4 road cases each containing a rack mounted PC running vMix HD for our 2016 season. Using the API to interface with our field system allowed up to 4 events on a weekend to automatically switch inputs and record matches. It's been awesome!

We are using DaCast for the live stream. Thanks to the vMix team for listing them - made sure to mention the referral to the DaCast team, which they appreciated ;)

See all the recorded matches for 2016 on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/FIRSTinMichigan

Thanks to vMix for a great product!

Geek stuff:
vMix 16 HD version
Windows 10
Intel i5-4460
8Gb Memory
250 Gb SSD for OS and vMix operation
2 Tb 7200 rpm drive for video storage
Nvidia GTX 960 4Gb
Magewell 4 input SDI

Low price HDMI to SDI converters from Kanex Pro working great.

Cool setup you got there. Very low budget and great seems easy enough for a newbie to learn on. I'm sure all of your guys' competition look nicer (Provided you output to a display and not just stream/record)

Should have mentioned the outputs :)

We use a second display output HDMI, convert to SDI, and run coax to a large projector at the district competitions. If the projector doesn't have SDI we use a converter on the other end to DVI or HDMI.

So with vMix we have a audience display at the venue, live streaming, and match recording all in one package.

At the State Championship, we have a JumboTron. Also using vMix Social for audience tweets on that.

Yeah, when I used to do live events using vMix, people when crazy with the tweets. It was hard moderating the tweets AND the stream. Kind of wish I had knew the API existed so I could write a program that could assist me. Cool. Do you own the projectors? You didn't mention them in your first post. Also, when you say large, what do you mean, I have worked with some pretty BIG projectors....

API info is documented in vMix Help.

Projectors are rented - 10,000 to 12,000 lumens.
