OK guys....nobody is bashing anybody from my end. I respect everyone's opinion, and thought mine would be respected as well. A Windows based controller is much needed for vMix. Congratulations DESMAR on your efforts, rather I agree with them or not, you are taking part in the process of developing for and creating enhancement to a software package we all love, vMix. I've been doing this stuff for a long time. I have over 30 years of broadcast experience. I'm all for doing things in the most cost effective way possible. At the same time, things need to work consistently, so "cheaper" is not always better. You learn by trial and error as I have here in this forum. In the future, I'll participate when I can be helpful, but I'll be keeping my opinions to myself. Go for it DESMAR - you're on the right path.

This is a Windows universal app and will require Windows 10 and up to run.

A minimum screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. Reason this resolution was chosen as all my
monitors support 1920 x 1080..

More real estate to put goodies on and it's a standard resolution.

For those who do not know what this mean, is that the app will run on any device
that supports 1080p Windows 10 and up with a minimum screen resolution of 1920 x 1080.
which includes Windows Phone, Tablet, PC's, IoT, and maybe Raspberry PI 3.

Some users asked whether if there will be different version of the layouts. Beginner's,
Intermediate or Advanced... Answer is no. The left to right fader/slider..
will be replaced with a 'T' bar, was only there for testing/layout purposes.

The images I posted were just some of the different layouts on my way to final UI design.

There will be no tabs to be able to switch from one feature to the next.
The set of applications will be built around modules which will make it scalable.

Purchase each module as needed. Prices not determined yet... But won't be expensive as per
other applications..

Each module will be it's own separate program that all tie into each other and vMix... and can be run
on different computers for each if wanted or one computer with multiple monitors as I am running...

My Workstation setup

- Core i7 4770K
- 32 Gig's Ram
- 2 SSD running Raid 0 for OS
- 2 SSD running Raid 0 for Recordings
- 10 Terabytes of Storage...
- 3 Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K
- 4 32" Monitors

eg. of different modules I am planning on implementing..

- Video Controller
- Virtual Camera / Talk Back / Tally Controller..

eg.

Import image of event whether is a sporting even, arena, hall, concert hall etc....
then drag and drop where device is located in event on image for the type of camera
(Fixed, PTZ etc...) or Talk Back Location or Tally Light, then be able just to select
camera to preview and/or switch preview or to program of that camera with effects,
or talk to Talk Back person/cameraman or Turn on Tally light....

- Audio Controller
- Scoreboard Controllers for different sports...
May need help on this one, don't know the scoring on a lot of the sports..
- Titles Controller
- etc......

But you can still make a demo for windows 8, so we get to play with it until the windows 10 version is ready.....that will help us to make some suggestions on improvements and functions so that when you finish the windows 10 version, there would be less bugs, and more functionality ....What do you think?

It's has to do with NDI and Windows 10 not working properly, that app I was working on
rely's heavily on NDI and Windows 10 features that are not in Windows 8.0 or 8.1,
Until NDI and Windows 10 issues are resolved.

It is not financially feasible for me to justify time and money into developing this prduct
at this time....

Hi desmar,

Perhaps a bit unrelated to the controller project, but if you are seeing issues with NDI and Windows 10 with vMix please report them
as we are not aware of any outstanding NDI issues with vMix in the latest version, or any remaining issues in Windows 10.

Regards,

Martin

Has nothing to do with vMix or NDI, turns out it's a Windows 10 issue in the way Microsoft does their video capturing on the back end...

If your issues relate to the screw ups in the new anniversary updates of win 10 have a look at this thread. Post 12 has a workaround solution..

No, has nothing to do with Windows 10 Anniversary Update and that post you referred
to is not the same issue.. It has to do with the graphic subsystems works in
windows 8 / 8.1 / 10.. Issue was reported to Microsoft.

If an application was compiled as WPF/.net etc, NDI works for windows captures,
but not if application that was compiled as UWP etc...

Also, vMix is limited, only capable to send out a limited amount of NDI Streams..
Can send out all input and outputs via NDI as it would bog down vMix, computer, and network
for what I wanted to accomplish in the program..

Until I have figured a work around, I have put it on the back burner and working on other projects..

thanks 1 user thanked desmar for this useful post.
