Just tested out NDI with vMix and wow it's quite powerfull!
I would like to have it working with casparcg (with both key+fill) but have no idea how I can send the casparcg output to NDI. Can anyone help me?

I already googled and installeren the airsend update but I don't now where I can chose to output it to NDI. There is no further documentation on Google for this.
Kind regards, Iason

Okey, Did you go to channel on the CasparCG Frontend application and chose NewTek iVGA as the channel output? If so, did you start the server after you changed the output to iVGA?

TVlason, I too can't get the CasparCG output to appear in NDI's Video monitor. Also unsure how iVGA comes into play. I sort of assumed it has been replaced by NDI, and that the Airsend update sort of tells iVGA to use NDI instead. But I'm guessing... In addition, I believe that in your YouTube video you download the server a second time, instead of the client. And, in your YouTube description to the Frontend Update the link is truncated, believe the correct one is: http://forum.casparcg.co...=updated+frontend#p25118Thanks.

Richardgatski,
Downloading the programs was only for video purposes, because I already download them. Your comment on the Frontend link was correct, I changed the link in the video description. Did you already download frontend and changed the channel output?
First of all I want everyone that has problems to change the channel output back to screen consumer (orignal setting). Then, try if CasparCG outputs trough there. If it doesn't work trough the screen consumer look if your hardware is supported. If it doesn work trough screen consumer, but not trough NDI report back to me. I try to help you then, but must say I am learning CasparCG myself at this moment.

I really appreciate your efforts. I initially tried on Win10, now I've tried on Win8.1 too.
For me CasparCG outputs both to Screen consumer, and iVGA (I can view that channel via the button in the server). But nothing in Newtek's NDI Video Monitor, nor in vMix.
Interestingly enough the NDI Scan converter allows me to tick "Import Casparcg with NDI", but that does not help (just get a black screen with mouse moving in it...)
(I am curious about how the Airsend updater knows about Casparcg, because the latter is sort of not Windows installed...)

Could you try going to ''NDI Test Patterns'' and see if the test pattern works.
I also tested importing it with the scan converter and had the same as you; only the mouse cursor was showing. This is not weird because the scan converter can't handle the consumer as normal software. Also if it did, we wouldn't have alpha channel, because it would just be a screen capture

If you mean that I can get NDI Test Patterns to output to vMix, the answer is yes. Do you perhaps have NDI Connect installed on your PC. I get a feeling I am missing a piece... Thanks!

TVIason wrote:Maybe your hardware lacks of something? Well, I've tried on three different PCs with different hardware and Win7, Win8.1, and Win10. For the moment I am just giving up. But happy that some of you got the sauce :)

The AirSend Updater scans your system looking for the older 'AirSend' DLL libraries and updates them with new ones that support the NDI protocol. If you uninstall the AirSend Updater it will put the original AirSend DLL files back. Kane Peterson NewTek
