We desperately need to record the clock overlay in the replay. We must show this to the officials. We have tried everything, including the SAMPLE input which looked as if it would work, but no go.

How can we do this?

Thanks,
Steve

@ stevespaw

AFAIK, it would appear that only the "Output" signal will record "Overlay" channels (if that is an option for you in either "Replay" or "Video Delay" recording), otherwise, you will somehow have to apply a clock overlay to your camera input prior to using it as a source for "Replay".
Perhaps a feature request is in order.

; )

We ran into the same issue when there was some very poor refereeing onsite.
The commissioner told the state rep for the refs that they should learn how to do their jobs.

Steve, are you doing hockey?

Also would you care to share your rig setup?

What I do is when I want to record the multiviewer is send it to external 1 or 2 and open that in OBS (open broadcast software) and then record it in OBS.

If you setup a multiview on a camera input with your graphic overlaid in the multiview you might be able to record what you are after using the multicorder or the replay modules. I am not able to test that atm but I think it should work.

@ BETech

Can you confirm that you can use 'Input 14' as a source for "Instant Replay"?
As I believe that was the original question, how to record the "game clock" overlay to review a time violation of some sort during the game (i.e. shot clock or goal scored at the buzzer etc.).
To the best of my knowledge, this is not possible with vMix Instant Replay Inputs or Video Delay recordings of non live Inputs.
As alluded to, there are "external" options that could probably accomplish this task, but there is no way to do it within a single instance of vMix AFAIK.
(I do not have vMix 4K or Pro to be able to confirm)

Good to know.
I am always impressed with vMix's versatility!

Yes this new ability to add External2 to the replay is what we need.
Thanks Martin!
