I have some issues with my saved projects. When I make the hole project for soccer wuth titles, scoreboard, commercials etc etc and save the project and open it on the same PC where I saved it everything is ok. Problem is when I transfer all to the second PC (backup), put everything on the same place and open project in vMix.

Everything in project is there except images/backgrounds and there is an error message. I can get everything back only if I add inputs one by one again (which is not the option) and delete the ones that are there with errors. Why is this happening if all my projects are on same folder?

thx

Hi Siroki,

My guess is that Window's way of saving stuff in documents folders, whose path varies depending on the Window user.

Eg c:\users\kim\videos and c:\users\siroki\videos

Have a look at the feature request Relative path for inputs to learn more and perhaps vote.

We put all of our vMix stuff in c:\alwayssamefolder\ (with relevant sub folders) on all of our vMix PCs.

A (tedious) workaround is to manually do a "search and replace" of the file paths in the .vmix file (where presets are stored).
thanks 1 user thanked richardgatarski for this useful post.

wher is the .config file do you know? This solution would be ok for me. Rather than inserting all the modules again :)))

thx

Sorry, I meant the .vmix file (not config, have changed now in my previous post).

It is saved in the folder you save it when you Save a preset.

The .config is the settings file, saved to the folder where you Export the settings.
