Does anyone have experience with a hardware live streaming encoder like the Teradek VidiU?
Is the stream quality better than FMLE/FFMPEG?
How about the audio sync?

I use Hardware encoders almost exclusively. My main reason is to offload the encoding processing from the vMix machine. FMLE can push my CPU Load from 25% to 90% or higher. I use Vidiu and Cubes.

I use both. Depending of do I need graphics or not. Easier stream or complicated. I am satisfied with both but vidiU makes great job :)

FMLE baseline has some artefacts, the main profile doesn't, but is choppy.
Maybe my PC is not fast enough, but the CPU usage is never more than 60%.

Can I compare the Teradek VidiU with FMLE in highest quality mode on a very fast PC?

When I read this then it doesn't really seem like an improvement.

It depends. For example I streamed yesterday with fmle 854x480 800 bitrate, i3 with 4 gb RAM, the cpu was on 90-100% and droping..When I use Wirecast with same settings + graphics + desktop presenter the cpu was on 30-40%

so in my case I am very dissapointed with FMLE

What profile (baseline/main) and settings do you use and do you have the same issue with FFMEG?

Does the Vidiu always perform better than FMLE?

Think its Main
I didn't have problems with fmle earlier, not this kind of problems. Maybe sometime vidiU will make me problems but as I know and talk with people who use it its great for simple streaming, camera, internet and vidiU :)
