Looking for a USB 3.0 capture device and since vmix doesn't support elgato I was thinking about this one http://www.amazon.com/Yu...r=8-1&keywords=UB530

The ability to handle any type of input on one device is appealing to me.

I use one of those with vMix. Works good. The only thing thats important is to not have different sample rates in audio for the digital inputs. For example if vmix is set to 48kHz and you connect a computer through HDMI that is set on 44.1 kHz, you will get distorted sound from the computer. But if you change the computer to 48 everything works good.

We have used them, and they are quite good value for the money.
But our experience is that the UB530 is somewhat pecky on USB controllers. In other words, don't work on some PC's. Unfortunately I have no record which works, and which does not.

Actually we haven't had any compatibility issues with different USB controllers, together wit UB530, for a years time now. At least all the JMC customers are very pleased with UB530 units. Yuan engineering has been confirming that the issues has been fixed and with the newer drivers the problems doesn't exist.
