I know this is a feature a lot of people have been asking for, and while I can't promise it will be done
in time for vMix 17, I wanted to start a discussion of how it might work!

The idea is to have a bunch of selectable "events" that can send midi commands to turn on or off lights, set button colours
or move motorised faders.

These events might include:

TallyPreviewOn
TallyPreviewOff
TallyOutputOn
TallyOutputOff
VolumeChange
Startup (so you can configure default button colours when vMix starts up)

Any other events you can think of?
At this stage I am looking at what the minimum functionality needs to be rather than a wishlist.

Thanks,

Martin
vMix

Great work Martin as all ways.

I will try to get back to you with any suggestions while playing the AKAI APC Mini

> TallyOverlayOn for inputs Channels 1,2,3,4 that are active

Not sure how the colours work on the APC Mini but that may be difficult to achieve unless you know the codes.

It's a pretty nice unit, but without the colored lights not something I'm using at the moment.

I would think adding it to the list of triggers in the input settings window would be good. I.e. On Completion, On Overlay On, Ect.

Fullscreen On/Off
Mute On/Off
Pan Change

Yes. Having bi directional commands would be nice for every shortcut,,,also would there be a way to scrub the video file with a midi slider to set in's and out points?

How would on off events work for tri-state tally lights. Example APC 40 has tri color (amber/green/red) and I currently through 3rd party code have it set up so that shots that are loaded light up amber, preview show green, and program show red.

I'm sure most other controllers out there also have multiple colors as well, so how would events work?

Yeah I did see this before. Thanks
