Is there a way to enable luma key for detecting the brightness of pixels in vMix?
It is a basic feature in even very old hardware video switchers/mixers and differs from traditional chroma key.

Who luma keys anymore? That's a very old way of doing transitions and effects considering Vmix will see alpha channels.
Luma key required two sources(the RGB source and the 8 bit gray scale key source which gives 256 levels from white to black)

This is just a feature request for vMix. I sometimes use it with panasonic video switcher.
Even though it is considered an old effect, it is useful and many video-editing software like Adobe Premiere CS6 still supports it.

For example, luma key is a better solution for some videos, rather than utilizing chroma key.
With this video (
), you will get the following results.

Luma (Premiere Pro): Looks great

Chroma (vMix): Looks awaful
