Just wanted to share a possible solution to a problem I have been having.

Whenever I clicked the Record Button, I got an Error stating:

No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection.

And beneath, in the little frame:

Recording_OK_Button
No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection.

After a long and hard search, it seems somehow in the Settings, under Audio, one of the HDMI inputs got selected under Recording Audio.

So for some reason, I had selected one of my sources as an Audio Device to use for recording, streaming and external output.
The result of this is that whatever codec that *did* work, wouldn't record sound.

Switching the setting back to None solved this.

My system has a Yuan 4 HDMI input card.

Setting this to "None" is probably not the best choice. But maybe you don't want to have audio in your recordings...
Setting this to "vMix Audio" would be the better decision.

Instead of searching for hours it's sometimes a better option to reset all settings to default.

Ah, but think of all of the knowledge we get when we search. I call it "learning by stumbling around."
