HI,

as I see now in the Vmix v16, we can use the Input name to switch an input on
example:
Function=Overlayinput3in&Input="title" instead of using the GUID of the input or the number of the input.. this is fine.

1) Can you also please adapt the HElp16 Doc:
https://www.vmix.com/hel...iptingandAutomation.html

with something like:
"Input

Specify an input by its number starting from 1 or it's name
0 can be used for Preview and -1 for Active.

But What I need to do in this case is a possibility to also set the name over the API.
the idea is to be bale to add a video and give to this input a speicfic name to control it later:

Function=AddInput&Value=video|"filename.mp4"
Function=SetName&Value="myInputName"&input=inputnumber

The idea is to say that I know the last input number so on AddInput I know what Input number I have (it's in any case the last), and after I give a name to control over the API the input by my Inputname and not it's number

So a API funtion SetName or SetInputName could be fine. Application of the Name is done over the &input=number (or name) as usual

Thx for replay

I need the same thing so i can automate the update of content but make sure any shortcuts or multiviews that reference the original still work correctly.
