Hi

I purchased a MIDI Controller in hopes of conquering the world.

I have not made much progress with the controller but I may have missed something long the way.

1. When setting up a shortcut with the controller, such as settext in titler, it doesn't seem to allow me to enter the variable.
This is primarily for updating the score in a scoreboard application.

2. vMix doesn't seem to recognize the "velocity" portion of a controller slider or button or . It does indicate the Channel and Note but not velocity.

I was hoping the velocity with 127 variables could be used to reset the countdown timer or even alter the score or period.

Am I missing something obvious here or is it just not possible (yet) to
a) enter a value in settext of a title

b) utilize the velocity settings to adjust variables

Thanks

Whit

@ calamityjane

When using SetText to change the score, you need to use a value of +=1 or +=2 etc. to add to the existing score by one or two etc.
Not sure about the 'velocity' recognition on the sliders or how it could interact with a timer.

Ice

I purchased a Korg nanoKontrol2,as I saw Tom Sinclair using in his videos in Eastern Shore Broadcasting.

Whit

I must report I was able to "control" the sliders in vMix for audio volume and the transition slider bar.

Thank you ice:

Using your technique +=1, I can use 1 shortcut for adding 1 to the score and a second one for subratcting 1 (operator error) instead of the 10 discrete keys (F1, ...F10) iIwas using to change the score.

Unfortunately when I choose to use the MIDI controller rather than the keypad, the option for entering the "value" does not appear.

My big hangup is is adjusting the time went it gets out of sync with the actual game.

Thanks again

Whit

I have overcome one hurdle. I found a "workaround" for the NO VALUE filed when using the MIDI controller.

1. Set the shortcut using a selection from the keyboard.
2. Edit this shortcut and change the trigger to something from the MIDI controller

It works. Not elegant but it works

Please design it so a fader from the KOrg can be used to reset the TIME in a scoreboard. For that matter so another fader can be used to increase/decrease score by SET TEXT as you slide the FADER up or down.

I'm having a similar problem. I want to map the 0-127 value to the ReplaySetSpeed function with value 10-100, but I can't figure out how to map it, due to the fact that the input type MIDIControlChange doesn't have a Value field (e.g. to type the script name)..
