Hi

I have a few questions about what vMix can and can't do.

I have a hardware vision mix setup ( a blackmagic TVS) which I'm happy with, I'm using vMix to play in VTs ( which given it's scope of what it will play is great) and also to play in both static and animated lower thirds. vMix's ability to change the text on lower thirds in the same interface makes it really useful.

So my questions.....

Because I want to output the lower thirds as a video feed to then be keyed over the video I am mixing on the TVS, I need the vMix title files to have a key background ( probably green) rather than a transparent background ( otherwise this just shows as black). Can the VMix titles in the library be changed? I know the text can be in the editor, but can the files be opened in Photoshop and the background changed from transparent to green?

Can I make my own lower thirds and then add text to them via the text editor that is used for the library versions.

Under the 4K version I can see you get 2 ext outputs, can they be different ? Could they be two VTs playing at the same time, one on each ext output?

Does the rolling Twitter feed work on a layer overlay or key basis?

I know your probably thinking why not use vMix on its on ?? Well cost as I already have a hardware solution, but also because the client does'nt want a completely software setup but does really live vMix for VT's and lower thirds

Many thanks

@ Iris

1. I would be inclined to use a "color" input (Green) and apply the lower third overlay to that and use as an output to TVS if you need to key it out there.

2. Yes, you can design your own lower thirds with the 'vMix Title Designer' (Design graphics and images in Photoshop or other graphics program and import into your title project and place text fields appropriately for XAML titles).

3. Simple answer is yes and yes, although audio might have some 'routing' complexities to be sorted out.

4. Not sure I understand the question fully...

Hope that helps some.
