I created this on the free version of vMix, so it is using only 4 inputs @SD resolution. I took a single image, and created 3 virtual inputs from it, then edited the position of each of those virtual inputs to focus on a different location of the image. I then set the click setting to use transition3 of which I use as a Merge transition, to immediately send the input I click to the output using the merge transition. This can also be done with webcam inputs, and is what I have done with my c920 positioned in portrait instead of landscape, so that I can merge between the top of the webcam input, to the bottom. Check out the video.

For a better understanding I thought I'd share this Wirecast overview, as they are doing the same thing, but just in wirecast. Basically taking a 1080p source, and outputting 720p, allowing me to move around the entire 1080p source within a 720p window, and remaining lossless. It's a great way to pan and zoom. ?t=12m15s
