Hi Martin,

I have been trying to use the Microsoft Lifecam Cinema with vMix. I can get it to work in 640x480 mode only. When I try to get it into 1280x720 mode, I get a messagebox 'capture resolution not supported by this device' that shows all the resolutions supported by the device and 1280x720 is even on the list, so this must be a bug. This is quite a camera for $79us and I think it would be great if vMix could use it in hi-def. FWIW, it works fine in other applications at 1280x720.

I have a LifeCam Cinema I have been using to test but unfortunately it has some limitations that make it difficult to use with vMix.
The main limitation is frame rate, it only appears to work at 20FPS at the most when at 1280x720.

This was only possible by removing the microsoft drivers for the camera and using the generic drivers instead (so it shows up as "USB Video Device")

I'm unsure at this stafe how the included microsoft utility works at higher frame rates with the lifecam drivers installed. Searching some forums it appears other developers are having the same issues.

For what it's worth, I use Wirecast a lot too, and they, as of yet, do not have proper support for the LifeCam either. I've reported it to them several times, and they are still researching the problem. So...it must be a common challenge. Surprising that Microsoft hasn't put out the proper documentation to support their hardware...
