Hi Guys! Please to contact you. I am having a problem when capturing video on Vmix (BlackMagic Decklink 4K- SDI). I have an interference sound that plays randomly for about 20-25 seg once every hour aprox . Its sounds like a digital saturation and I would like to solve this problem. I try different inputs on the capture card and the problem remains the same. When I stop sending signal to the capture device the interference stops but then some minutes later it starts again. Also try two different PC's and have the same problem. if I leave capturing for a long period of time, the audio and video signal starts to unsync but clicking on the refresh button it syncs again fine for another "short" time ...... Can u help me? I live a link to show the problem and attach a sound file to show you whats happening : http://we.tl/QNPjN5eSurTHKS in advance!! Hi,
Please try a test recording in Media Express to see if the same problem occurs there as well.
Regards,

Are you taking your audio from the capture card, or are you mixing it in from elsewhere? If the interference was more constant, then I would look into the possibility that you had a ground loop issue?
Not totally sure because I am far from an expert on this, just that we've had ground loop issues before and it was actually very easy to fix.

Martin: we have already try recording via Media Express and the problem still appears. krayg123: the audio is embedded in an ATEM Production Studio. Brief description of the set-up: The sound signal reaches us by an RCA cable and we embebed it to the video via an ATEM Production switcher. Then this signal is taken via an SDI cable to a Blackmagic Videohub were its routed to a Decklink SDI 4K thats installed on a PC. We have try to capture the signal that enters the PC with Vmix (software for video productions) and with the Blackmagic Media Express and the noise appears on both softwares. If we change the input / output signal on the videohub while we are having the noise/sound and then switch it back again the sound disappears. Thank you for the support and we will keep trying different things until the problem is solved. You need to isolate each piece of the chain to see where the interference is coming from. You have allready demonstrated it is not vMix. Now feed audio directly into the PC via the Decklink (go directly from a camera with embedded sound in the SDI feed), then if that is OK, add in the Hub, then the ATEM. Good luck.
