Hello, Decided to test every format had on my PC for compatibility, after not being able to hear sound on .MPG .MP2. These are results below. The files are from outside sources and my own PowerDirector output. What did was Added a Source, selected from disc, then played to output as full screen on 2nd monitor. The video played for everything except .swf which vMix does not claim.

But .mpg,.mp2, .mts, .m2ts and .mkv only played video, not sound? .flv which is not claimed to work, does, sorta have seen some problems since orig version of this. So would say .flv is iffy, and vMix does not ciam it works

I have a fair amount of .mpg files would sure like to use.

Am I missing something here, or is there an extra step needed to get some formats to play sound?

.avi both vid and sound
.mp4 both work
.mov both work
.mts only video, sound does not work
.m2ts only video
.mpg (mpg2) only video
.mp2 only video
.wmv both work
.ts both work
.SWF Kills the program!, vMix has stopped-Close program vMix does not claim to do .swf to be fair
.flv, says does not support but works, both work. Tested .flv from 2 different programs, one a converter Update, sometimes does not play at all.
.mkv only video
what vMix calls a FFMPEG in menu selction (.mov), both work

Thanks!! That is the fastest solution ever. This is the driver itself http://www.ac3filter.net/wiki/Download_AC3Filter I did full, then rebooted vMix (does not work unless you reload the player after install, and bingo.

I had AC3 on older machine then got new machine without it.

Thanks again!

@ darp

.swf files are "Flash/RTMP" inputs and should work there.

However, to this point in time, vMix lacks a proper controller to 'effectively' use .swf animations and dynamic text fields, so depending on the nature of your files will determine how useful they will be for you.
