Hi,
Can this function be improved to a stage that it can capture a video played on another computer? In V2, the FPS is too low. This is function is important when capture card is limited.
Thanks

Desktop Capture is limited by the available CPU and Graphics Hardware on the computer being captured. In vMix 2012 v3 small improvements have been made but the ultimate limit is still the computer hardware.
For capture of full motion video the only option is to use HDMI output on the computers graphics card and input this into an Intensity Pro or Intensity Shuttle.

Hey guys good to you all I am still testing v3, I won't comment on the small errors as they are already noted by other members in this forum. However here is a small request, Is is possible to add a lan streaming feature to v3 when it releases that will allow us to pick up vmix program out put on a second computer using and lan rtmp address or some other kind, so that on the main pc we would do the switching and recording, but on the second pc we would use a third party software such as FMLE, ETC., the would pick up the out put on the main pc (Audio & Video)and stream that signal live.
Similar to vmix virtual capture, but stream over lan and have both working at the same time.
Reason for asking is that sometimes when I have vmix running and another third party software for streaming it tends to use up a lot of system resources and often results in a crash of vmix while the third party software is still running.

The resources required to adequately compress the stream for the LAN would be close to what FMLE and other streaming programs would use anyway.
A much cheaper option would be to just get a faster CPU. I cheap quad core i5 is enough to stream vMix using FMLE.
