I need to record a Skype conversation and so have worked out how to do it in Vmix via Desktop capture.

I thought I would do a test via playing in a YouTube video and the clip played into Vmix fine.

However there is no audio coming into Vmix yet I can hear it Via YOuTube.

Must be a setting?

Not sure I exactly understand the question but will give it a go.

If you are trying to play the video as a desktop capture from YouTube on the vMix computer you will not be able to import the audio. To import the audio along with the YouTube video as a desktop capture can only be done from a second computer.
Per vMix Help: Audio is only available for capturing remote desktops, as capturing the local computers audio would result in a feedback loop.
