Hello!

The situation I am dealing with is that my students (I'm a HS Multimedia Teacher) ran a live stream last year. This stream involved interviewing nonprofits on a day of giving within the community. Some non-profits could not come to the actual set to be interviewed in person so we used Vmix Call to bring them in virtually.

The signal flow last year involved routing nearly all audio out of the computer running Vmix, into an audio console and then back to the computer to Vmix to FB/YT. In addition to sending audio from the console back into the computer, we also sent some audio to the set so the anchors could hear the music, talkback from control room and Vmix call audio. (we had monitors on the floor of the set)

The issue is that we were unable to set up the signal so that the audio console had true control of Vmix Call audio from the guest. We ended up letting Vmix do the vmix call audio to maintain the mix minus automatically while sending it out to the console (over another bus) to be sent to the set monitors as well.

This lead to situations where we had picture and thought we had sound from the Vmix Call but since we couldn't consistently PFL in Vmix without triggering the audio to the stream we would put them up only to pull them down and have to reconnect the call.

I would love to figure out how to get Vmix Call audio from our computer into a console that has the full control while still allowing us to send mix minus back to the guest. Last year we used a 16 channel mackie analog console. This way the console operator can have full control and confirm we have sound from our guest without pushing the audio onto the stream too soon.

This year I have the budget to buy something like a Behringer X32, Yahmaha Dante etc. I have searched and searched and haven't seen anyone explain how to do this. Hoping I haven't missed it....looking forward to hearing what you all have to say!
