For the past 2 weeks I am having a terrible problem when I bring in 2 coHosts to the show using vmix call. One is in Wyoming and the other in Arkansas. Their video and audio freezes so much it is basically unusable and looks very bad to our viewers.
As a work around, I tried the integrated vmix zoom. by using the zoom , both co-hosts were 99.9% perfect and the freezing problem seemed to not be there when using the zoom for their connection. I want to use vmix call and do not want to use zoom every time.
I am on the monthly pro plan.
Here is information about my setup.
vmix 29.0.0.36 computer I7-3770@3.4G 16 Gigs of ram GeForce gtx 1080Ti 11 GB windows 10 64 bit
my gpu stats show very low maybe 30% I am not getting any gpu alerts my internet is cable with 1000Mbs down and 65 Mbits up
In the past the vmix call has worked ok.
I ran the vmix diagnostics and here is the message: SCAN STARTED Wednesday, January 14, 2026 11:58:13 AM
No background Graphics Card applications detected. The following applications may still interfere with vMix, but should not impact the graphics performance:
PC Matic Super Shield: (C:\Program Files (x86)\PCPitstop\Super Shield\SuperShieldHookCpy64.dll) NVIDIA driver loader: (C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nvhdc.inf_amd64_b6a81ea386120cb4\nvppex.dll)
SCAN COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY
a note for comparison, I can run Streamlabs Talkstudio ($8 per month) and it does a great job bringing in the video and audio from our cohosts with little to no freezing.
Thoughts and any help would be appreciated concerning this issue.
Tom
