^ Video of me showing what happens

vMix Pro 28.0.0.43 x64
Windows 11 Computer

Master output and headphones are set to none in vMix audio output settings. Windows default output is what is being recorded in the video.

Whenever I interact with the inputs within vMix, a terrible sound plays that does not happen anywhere else. Also shown in the video is whenever I lower the audio level of the master volume, so does the sound that was playing, but if I toggle the mute button for master output, it is not affected. I show the list of all of my audio outputs. I don't know if it is an audio driver issue or something else, I have just been stuck on this for awhile. If there is information that I have not provided that is needed, let me know and I will get it.

@ rwd29

This is usually due to "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth" being enabled in Activator Settings.
Go to
Settings ===> Activators ===> Enable Devices ===> de-select "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth"

This was 100% the fix thanks! Do you know why it just all of the sudden started happening? The issue only started a couple of days ago and I can 100% guarantee I never touched the activator settings. I had also had this issue like half a year ago but it just randomly went away one day so I never bothered figuring it out.
