I stream live sport to YouTube, and vMix works great for this - but my combination of stream and YouTube settings mean about a 20 second delay from live. This is using RTMP.
I want to be able to stream audio (video is a bonus but not required) with ultra low latency to an endpoint - somewhere I can embed on our website or send people to a direct player - so that people can listen to live commentary while watching in-person. Broadcasting over arena speakers is not an option to us.
I have tested sending a separate stream to YouTube with the fastest possible vMix and YouTube stream key settings, and can only get the delay down to about 2.5 seconds.
Does anyone have recommendations on an ultra low latency (hopefully around a second or less) solution, that viewers can then access over the internet?
Sharing over the local network isn't really an option as we do not have administrator access to configure the network.

I'd look into a WebRTC solution. Note that this is only a protocol, not a software package, so you'd need something that uses this under the hood (like Discord).
