Hi there,
anyone any idea how to make an activator to change a streamdeck button change colour when i'm changing the output for both output 2 and fullscreen output?
scenario:
I need to change what the remote caller sees between program output and an input which is powerpoint via a pc. i've set up shortcuts to do this but dont know how to make activators which show which one is active. I have 2 buttons on the stream deck.. one that says graphic to caller and the other program to caller.
At the same time i am feeding a screen in the venue on my second output (fullscreen 2) and i need to change it between the program output and the powerpoint input. again, i've got 2 shorcut buttons set to switch between, just cant work out the activators to highlight which ones active.
Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Hi. Im not sure if there exist an activator into vmix for outputs feedback and before vmix 28 the info we need for this,is not externally readable. From Vmix 28 and up,exist in the API the info that reads the Fullscreen/outputs. Personally I'm doing this by using bitfocus companion vmix module and I have buttons that say which output has either output or any input by using the proper variables. With bitfocus is very easy to do it to send to any button this info. Directly in streamdeck with activators I don't know if possible. Maybe you can do a script that will read this info and then in a gt text input write something when output has this or that in order to inform you Also you can do an external app like this to see/lock the outputs and Fullscreen. This is my amateur app for this purpose https://forums.vmix.com/...arty-program-for-Vmix-28and companion variables for fullscreen 1 and pgm. We can do also for fullscreen 2 and output 2/3/4 to inform us Firefox_Screenshot_2025-09-05T14-40-34.577Z.png (38kb) downloaded 16 time(s). Thanks in advance if anyone can help. That's one of the use cases for Mix Inputs. Create Mix inputs, one for Output 2, and one for Fullscreen Output. Create your shortcuts for changing what is active on the Mix inputs. There are also activators for the active input on the Mix inputs. (And, if you ever run into the situation, where you have to send another input to Fullscreen on the fly, it is a ton easier to change it on the Mix input.) Here is a video: (especially Custom display output with the Mix)
