Hi We've been using vMix here OK for about the past 4 years. We just got a new PC since the one we've been using has been having some problems. I saw on the FAQ that the settings could be copied using this:
Saving and Copying the vMix Settings The vMix preset file does contain some of the more important settings in it already. Such as Output Size, Master Frame Rate, Overlay settings and more (see the Presets Menu documentation for a full list). However for all other settings not otherwise saved to the vMix preset, you may also wish to save and copy the vMix settings to the new vMix PC as well. To do that click Settings at the top right of vMix and then click the Export button at the bottom left corner. This will export a vMix config file. This can also be copied across to the new vMix PC. To import, simply open vMix, select Settings and click the Import button at the bottom left. You can then browse to the saved vMix config file to import the full vMix settings.
However when I try that, when I tried the import on the new PC per those instructions, it didn't recognize the file for importing. It was looking for a file with the extension of CONFIG but the file that was created by the export (using the instructions above) has a VMIX extension.
Can anyone please give me instructions on how to copy the vMix settings from an existing PC to a new one?
Thanks very much.

You didn't do something right. The "Export" button right next to the "Import" button creates a .config file: The .vmix extension is a preset file:

Thanks. I didn't get (or maybe didn't notice) the "Save As" dialog, it just saved as a preset file, with no options.
I will try it again tomorrow, the PCs are at our church.
I appreciate your responses.
