Hello,

I’m looking for a way to get feedback when I press a shortcut via the Web Controller.
Here’s my setup:
I broadcast live sports matches but leave my PC with vMix running at home.
My camera is connected to a 4G encoder and I bring the feed into vMix via SRT.
The stream is started from vMix where I have all my overlays (clock, score).
Using shortcuts and the Web Controller, I update the score and pause the clock when needed.
The problem is that I get no confirmation that the score was actually incremented by +1 or that the clock is properly synchronized with the official clock.
I’m operating alone, and I have my phone attached to the tripod with the Web Controller interface open.
In case of low 4G bandwidth or if I press too quickly, the shortcut may not have been registered.
The Thumbnail function is really too small to see the score.

I would like a feature that displays a title’s text value in the shortcut description, or alternatively changes the shortcut’s color when it has been received by vMix.

Do you have any solutions?
Thanks !

Have you considered sending an SRT back to you (on phone) just of the graphics to verify ? Using Larix or Haivision players for example
(even better a separate title with the info displayed bigger)

or Watch the feed of your prodution

you could use bitfocus companion instead, utilizing the web buttons in place of vMix web controller. the advantage to this is putting variables in the button labels that will show you the actual score as you change it, and real time (well minus the internet delay) clock info.

Bitfocus companion and vmix module can also work in a touch screen very well and you can have feedback in the buttons for almost everything.
Or for return feed you can use (as you have access in the web controller) the telestrator function that is low latency in a separate device or a vmix call

Thank you very much for this solution with Companion, it works perfectly after I understood how the variables work.

Glad you could fix it with companion. I just had the idea of the multiviewer as switcher. Of course that requires more bandwidth and it seems that is a concern remotely.
