Hallo all,

I read vMix help and want to build wireless tally light. I'm new in Arduino.
Maybe someone has done something like that? Phone tally is good but need external battery for long time
and and visibility is limited to one person(same tally need for announcer and operator).
I think with Arduino and LED light can save battery and will have a longer use of time.
Questions:
What Arduino card can use?
How to wirelessly(what modules use) send signal for 3-4 tallys?

Thanks for the answers

Give me a couple of weeks and I might have a better solution to offer you. I'm working on a RasberryPi based device that will allow for not only tally, but comms as well. :)

Sounds really interesting. Audio through wi-fi?
Keep the community updated, I'm sure many will be interested.

The Original rasPi supported a PBX phone system called Asterisks. There is event a community actively supporting a asterisks server on Pi. From all the forum information, I've read, it can easily support a 9 person conference call. There are also 'sip client' options that will run on rasPi. So, we have one rasPi running the 'base station', and up to 9 rasPi working as clients.

The solution could work with a combination of USB Wi-Fi, USB headsets, and USB batteries... but I'm also building a 48v to 5v DC/DC converter that will allow a single ethernet cable to work as both wired network, and power source. Just in case you're in a place where you can't trust wireless.

I'm currently looking into a LCD touchscreen that already works with rasPi to enable the user to configure and use the clients (set cam#, call for engineering help, etc).

Now that the rasPi 2 has come out, inventories are empty. I'm waiting for a chance to order 3 for testing development. Once I have a working prototype, I'll start a thread about it.
