Hi guys,

I wanted to use the Flic.io button for a specific function in vMix.
It's a nice little button, about the size of a 2-euro coin.

Since I couldn’t find a clear guide on how to get it working, I wanted to share the steps I eventually figured out:

1. Download the Flic.io app on your phone and connect the button to it. Change the button function to Universal:


2. Install this piece of software by the great Tobias Erichsen:

3. Install MIDIberry:

4. Connect the Flic button to your PC via Bluetooth. Press and hold the button until it shows up in the list and connects successfully.

5. Open loopMIDI and create an input by entering a name (or leaving the default) in the bottom-right corner, then clicking the plus icon in the bottom-left corner.

6. Open MIDIberry. Select the Flic button as the input and the (named) loopMIDI port as the output.

7. In vMix, loopMIDI will now appear in the list of MIDI devices. After enabling it, button presses should register and work as expected.
