I'm trying to build a project that I can easily drop on to other machines to recreate that project quickly. At the moment I've exported the vMix Bundle, the preferences config file, the excel spreadsheet some of the data is cell linked to and the Stream Deck config file. However when I sit down and load these all up on another PC the names of each of the Stream Deck buttons seem to be different, even on the same Stream Deck. Therefore I need to remap all my buttons again every time I sit down at a new PC which is frustrating.

Any way around this? I know companion exists but for this use case I'd prefer not to.

Use the web button option in SD and not the vMix plugin (to send API http requests). One could als opt for the SD midi plugin.

Seconding this--it's how I always do it when I'm not using Companion.

The only downside is that you don't get separate press & release actions.
