Hey there, i`m just building a new desktop to get in touch with 4k productions. So i decided to get a Blackmagic Quad HDMI Recorder PCIe Card to get easy access for any laptop source. This card itselfs works flawlessly. It supports formats up to 4k60 DCI (4096x2160). If I´m adding this card in this resolution to vMix, I get the Unsupported Video Format Error. Other resolutions like 4k UHD (3840x2160) are working as intendet in vMix. But in my productions it is not always possible, to change the resolution on the notebook by hand. EDID tells there is a Resolution of 4k DCI possible and uses this as standard. I believe the issue is anywhere inside vMix, because other Software can capture the highest resolution (Media Express, OBS) without any problems. For any hints, where the problem can be, i would be very thankful. Some Informations of the system: vMix 4k Licence @ 28.0.0.42 Graphic Card in use: RTX 5070 CPU: i7 14700K RAM: 32GB DDR5 Board: ProArt Z790 Creator Screenshot 2025-05-23 100141.png (67kb) downloaded 18 time(s).

Well, after fiddeling more and more around this topic, I found a kind of a solution. In the list of all possible Camera Inputs is a checkbox option for legacy devices. By checking this, "Blackmagic WDM Captures" appears and this Input can handel 4k60 DCI. Can anyone explain to me, what legacy in this context means? And this way is somehow kind of a feature instead of an issue? Thanks alot! Screenshot 2025-05-23 114233.png (49kb) downloaded 13 time(s).
