The ticker currently works like a line at Disneyworld. It constantly loads up the items from a Google sheet for example, one by one in order. The only way to not have gaps is to have the ticker pull the next cell data faster than the duration that the item is on screen in the ticker. This leads to a building up effect of the que of items. This has the effect of the longer the ticker has been running, the longer the qeue of items, and if you need to fix something or add something, its going to take a long time before that update appears in the ticker.

There needs to be a button in the ticker settings to clear the ticker and start it over. The only way to clear the loaded items in a ticker that's pulling from a google sheet is to speed it up until it has pulled in the updates. I do a show that is several hours long, and I'm currently waiting for the ticker to get to some updates, and it's been over 10 minutes.
