on start up.PNG (57kb) downloaded 3 time(s).Hello,

system:

Allen and Heath SQ5 audio console. latest firmware 1.6 (same issue for years on 1.5)

PC AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 8 core processor 3.7 Ghz ,16 gig ram, Windows 10 Pro version.

VMIX version 26.0.044 x64

Just want to try and fix this issue that's been happening for years on our streaming PC. Audio input has problem locking in.

Audio console is sending out USB B from A&H SQ5 to streaming pc. Using SQ asio driver to input into vmix.

What happens most times when opening show file audio input will not load.If I need to close out vmix for any reason or restart pc

audio input does not load back upon restart.

I have to select "reset" on the audio input 4 or 5 times and get the error message " Could not start SQ ASIO driver BASS ERROR UNKNOWN .

It will not reload when using restart on input most times.

Then I select "Change" on input and select "sq asio driver " from options. this will also fail to load most times

Then I usually go back to input and hit "reset" again and it will eventually take.

Can someone please explain what is happening here.

I heard once on start up.PNG (57kb) downloaded 3 time(s). PC sound settings.PNG (24kb) downloaded 3 time(s). that there is a fundamental conflict with pc audio drivers and main LR Bus in Vmix but don't know if that's true.

I will try to include as many photos to illustrate as possible.

so now I guess its a two parter as i can't figure out how to reduce photos ....

I don't have a solution, but one thing you could try is NOT setting your system audio input to your SQ audio console. Maybe Windows and vMix both trying to get audio from the SQ5 is conflicting. Also, the usual advice of making sure your drivers are up to date applies here. I've used ASIO audio interfaces (specifically MOTU M6) with vMix with version 27 and 28 of vMix, never had any issues with audio devices.

Something else you can try is plugging your audio console into a different computer, and install a fresh copy of vMix on there, and see if you have problems there too. Maybe it's a problem with the computer.

I've had similar problems, Behringer X32 and Midas M32 using USB connections to the boards.

If I don't turn the board on first I will find the PC doesn't always connect. By turning the sound board on first it seems the problem doesn't happen though the problem is rare in the first place.
