I just bought AVerMedia Game Broadcaster HD. It is a capture card with HDMI and VGA/component video inputs. It costs less than Black Magic. There is a SDK version of this card available. Has anybody used it in live videomixer setup yet?

I use the AVerMedia AVerTV HD DVR with great results. Have three cards (for three cameras) installed in one computer with no problems.

Well... I am not sure, if it is my computer/video card or the capture card, but:
1. I can't get a full screen in VGA mode, as picture is smaller than desktop (HDMI or component video through VGA no problem)
2. The card itself feels flimsy, and one needs to be careful to plug and unplug cables. I have to turn PC off, and re seat the card half of the time,
3. The picture is little jittery with barely noticeable artifacts, but again it is 5 years old quad core PC with a cheap ATI 5400 video card. I am afraid, my experience shouldn't be counted for much, maybe, better hardware would produce better results.

mironhtu,

Are you capturing from a noteboook or PC?

Please check the source computer desktop resolution.

The capture card will auto-detect the VGA resolution.

From AverMedia FAQ:
http://www.avermedia.com/avertv/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=565&tab=FAQ
Quote:
Q: Where can I configure the video output settings?

A: The video output settings should be configured in the connected device (gaming console). Game Broadcaster HD uses auto-resolution detection, so capture resolution will adjust to the selected resolution in your game console.

Obviously, I capture from PC. The output resolution of the other computer matches the input resolution of the computer with AverMedia Card installed (1024x768), and yet the capture is smaller that the desktop. The auto-detect feature doesn't help in my case. I'd like to be able to overwrite it, to let me change size and position of the picture. My recording computer's video card could be to blame, it is just not adequate for the job.

Old topic, anyway, I have some problem with installing two AVerTV HD DVR cards, what is the procedure?
I have successfully insalled one card, when I tried to do the same with the second, the system (FMLE, vMix) does not recognize the second one. Any idea?
