I'm trying to set up a playout system with vmix for sport events. I'm not streaming and I'm not recording.
We have loads of videos and titles (over 200). For each Player we have 4 clips (lineup, starting6, goal and assist). There are around 30 Players and I want to dynamically select videos. We also have animations for goals, big save and so on. Lots of title for scoreboard, timeout, breaks, promotions, sponsors...

I'm a bit worried about performance by that many inputs so I thought I could use the list input for it. But unfortunately I can only select a list item by index. It would be awesome if I could select the clip by filename. Is there a way to dynamically select list items?

Or are there any experiences for such a use case?

Hi. Vmix utc can read the names of a list input and then select it and playout it

Thanks. I have to look at UTC…
But I‘m intressded in controlling by scripting/companion. Does this also work with UTC?

Try vMix Panel Builder, I don't think there is any updates for the past 2 years, could be wrong, but even though it is a great app, it may need some updates... Panel Builder is kept up-to date, thanks to its creator, plus it has a interface, that can be personalized to mimick a hardware switcher...

You can use a companion trigger and text input in Vmix and datasources or directly set text to a button to add a file from your hard disk into a vmix list input in "real time"
