When running several vMixCall as remote studios in a broadcast spread over an area (soccer match) and have placed several vMixCall stations, it would be nice if you could mark these as "attempt to re-contact".
Because "if" God forbid you have to restart vMix close to the start of the broadcast, you lose all active vMixCalls and have to run around and manually reconnect to vMix.
It would have been good to have such a function that in case of loss of connection to vMix, try at least 5 times to regain the connection.

Yes, I agree. But in a situation like you mentioned I would think about changing from call to SRT. Then after a restart you have all the connections recovering automatically.

I havent find a SRT solution with multiple functions like vMixCall yet

We use these remote studios via vMixCall with:
Sound and picture from reporter into vMix
Talkback from producer to reporter
Feedback view to reporter on LIVE-broadcast, but from other output then Live togeter with fields of text messages from producer/production team
NDi linked webcam into vMixCall as it's cam instead of built in cam in computer

In this setup we arde very flexible regardless what we broadcast.

The SRT solutions I found yet it just dont have the whole package as vMixCall has

vMix itself is capable of SRT. The HDbasic license is 60$. Just open ports (one per input) on the receiving side and let the remote vMix machines output over SRT into the production. This can also happen vise versa for receiving stuff at the remote locations.

I did a lot like this from mobile devices with larix broadcaster (free at that time). Even the settings were just a QR code that would be scanned with the phone and the app configuration was done. And a few moments later you have the feed into your production system.
This worked rock solid with even 10-15 inputs.

Still I think this would be a nice feature with all "non" technical callers that dont now how to do, if the call tried to reconnect "IF" the caller did not hang up but were lost from the call-in

100% agree with you but how should the base station know what happened and it can't "force" to reconnect cause the user has changed the network, is unavailable, doesn't want to or other reasons. If this would be possible you could enter any IP and make a call to it, open the browser and cam.
A nice hacking tool.
vMixCall is the most easy and also simple solution with very little control. If you need more control switch to SRT.

I agree it would be a possible way to hack described as you said, but http://vMixCall should be able to detect lost connection and preform a "refresh page" and that would automaticly reconnect to the same connection it used.
