In the same way we can copy the layers, triggers, etc from one source to another, it would be very helpful to be able to copy the source of an input to another input. Would especially be helpful when building titles for example where you could have the same title used dozens of times.

AFTER you add a new input you can open the settings for that input and on the bottom left you'll see a "Copy From..." option where you can select the input to be copied from and the items to copy to this new input.

Ok I’ll have to test that when I get back in town because in the past that was not the case. If you copied from another input it just copied the layers, triggers, etc…not the source for the input

Two thoughts from my side. #1 use a virtual input to copy the input #2 use the title in an overlay so you can have whatever input active.

Yep I verified that this is NOT correct. It has never been the case that you can copy an input's source to another input. You can only copy Layers, Triggers, Color adjustments, and effects. I was hoping maybe you were right and there had been an update that allowed this, but no.

I think you're missing the point of my feature request entirely. If I am using a title as a source, and setting the custom text in the title editor and make a bunch of different title inputs, how does an overlay or a virtual input help me with that? All the titles are different from each other, but still use the same titles source, however they are displayed on the screen has no impact on the amount of work that could be saved by copying an input source when making a bunch of the same thing.

The point isn't that there's no way to add the same inputs over and over. The point is it would be great if there was an easy way to copy an input source to another source so we don't have to.
