Hi,

I'm running a very basic vMix project with three video clips which I need to cut between and send to the external output as required. All three clips are 1920x1080 H.264. So all settings are set to widescreen. My external output is via a Blackmagic Ultrastudio Monitor 3G. Everything is working fine with one exception.

If the output window is set to widescreen (or source), the picture on the video monitor is 'squashed vertically'. I can fix this by setting the output monitor input setting to normal. I believe normal in vMix is 4x3 ratio (seems odd to call it normal by the way as 4x3 hasn't been the norm for almost 25 years but there you go).

So to get the output to be the correct 16x9 ratio I have to have the output window set to normal (4x3). Which works and solves the problem but why isn't the output window displaying the same ratio as the external feed out?

I updated vMix this morning and am running 26.00.46. I'm also running it on an intel based MacBook Pro and outputting via Thunderbolt 3 into the Blackmagic Ultrastudio Monitor 3G box.

All other things seem to be working well so far.

I'd be interested in any thoughts regarding this.

Thanks,

Steve
