Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble with the replay session folder in vMix. It’s currently greyed out, and I’m unable to create separate folders for each event from the replay session.

Even though recording is turned off, the session folder option in the Replay settings is still inaccessible. Does anyone know why this might be happening or how to fix it? I should be able to create a new show every time and link it to its specific folder.

Thanks in advance for your help!

@ Ed789

Each Instant Replay session records to the folder that was created for that session.
You need to close the current session and create a new Instant Replay session if you want to start a new or different folder

Thank you! Is it possible to go in and change the setting instead of closing the small replay window completely? I have some triggers attached to the replay window. This is a very odd way of a setup.

Thanks,
Eddie

I would like to see the option of changing the folder on the fly too (have a good practical use for that)

session details are stored in xml file located in the selected folder , the are created when using a new folder or opened when selecting a previous replay folder.
When one closes IR and create a new IR input one has the option to select an existing (sessions) folder
One can even copy the xml file to another folder (keeping the same basic settings)and open that one (even with changing cameras or their order)
So i dont see really why changing a folder (reopen or create a new with the same settings) could not be an option instead of having to close and add an IR input

Would avoid the need to set the basic settings each time again and have the benefit of switching sessions quickly (to continue with or change as new)

Not claiming its simple programatically but basically its a matter of if there is or not a XML file present in the chosen folder and if it has to be a clone (with no video recordings which are removed anyway when deleting them ) or clean new one

We participate in sports, and whenever we visit a venue, it’s a different team. The way Vmix replays are set up is almost amateurish. Another significant issue that needs to be addressed is the inability to view all my camera inputs while scrolling through the replay (not live). I would like to see multiple angle of for example of a goal from different cameras and choose the best shot from those angles to play. Newtek 3play has this option and it’s amazing.
