i know it has been asked before but i am running in to some caveats with a dual NIC setup.

I have a 2,5Gb pcie network card and a 1Gb onboard nic.
Vmix preferes to use the onboard nic, probably because it initializes first.
The 1 GB is used for a dante network. The 2,5Gb is used for NDI / streaming / Lan

everytime i boot up VMIX it will not use the 2,5Gb nic.

question / feature request,.

Can you add a prefered network setting, like dante controller has, where yoiu select the prefered NIC.
It saves so much trouble in getting networked gear working

Thank you, marco

vMix uses the windows settings. In windows you can specify the priority with the metric value. Let low the value the higher the priority.

I did use the metrik settings. It did not change the behaviour of vmix.
For some reason windows holds on to the onboard NIC instead of the PCIE nic

Next thing to try is disconnect the dante network, boot up VMIX and then hook up dante again.
