I am using V-mix to setup an E-sports broadcast. I have 10 layer comps, one for each player, with a POV camera and title over the background of each players machine. For different games the placement of the items needs to shift. Moving the items and saving each placement as a template is the easiest way I can see to do it. I am using a shortcuts on a Streamdeck to call up the different comps and I would also like to use shortcuts mapped to the streamdeck to reposition the layers by changing the layer template. I could not figure out how to do that. Is it even possible?

I'm not aware of a way to set those via shortcut.

However, there are other options that may work for you.

Beginning with vMix 27, it became possible to adjust layer values with shortcuts beyond the Main layer.

So you can use a vMix Script or Stream Deck Multiaction to simply mimic the template by setting every individual value.

Another option could be to simply create multiple multiviews (one with each template), then use a Dynamic Input in your shortcuts to use the appropriate one.

Unfortunately, no, You cannot change position templates with the vmix API. You would need to create an input for each layout and dynamically update the sources with scripts and DynamicInput variables.

Let me know if you need help.
