I am looking to see if the following is possible in vMix.
At a gymnastics competition, each performance is 2 minutes. The team then go to the kiss & cry seat to await their score. They will then leave the kiss/cry as the next team finishes their performance.

I want a gazebo for an interview in the training area where the team goes after leaving the floor. This is fine with camera input. However, it would be great to have their performance running as a replay on a screen behind them during the interview. How would I get their 2-minute performance quickly and easily so it can run as an external to that screen, or is this beyond what vMix can do?

 Thanks.

retrieve the pgm output on a laptop (ndi or usb capture)just record the pgm of each performance (with obs for example) on this laptop
and play the performance recording from the laptop output to the screen during the interview

You mean use an additional laptop for this task? That’s not a problem if so as I want to build a new tower pc specifically for these events going forward. Thanks |

send the replay input (A or B) to a separate output (or monitor) do no replay the selected event as that would go to production output, but just play the Replay (A or B) input One can continue to record IR and create new events while the replay inputs are playing and do the rest of the production (interview) on the same machine |

yes I think of an external laptopa recovery laptop because no need for a lot of power if it is for a 1 rec/play input.

or as chienchien wrote the replay A or B output to screen

Personally, I would do a PIP or supersource with interview + highlights played in a loop of the performance
it will be cleaner than a screen behind people

Thanks for translating my username! If screen is to far away use NDI also to send to cheap laptop with a monitor connected to it over the network using NDI Monitor Then you have best of both worlds : distant monitor and source/input usable within production |

I do this all the time to create a judges review monitor where the judges can do slow mo/frame by frame replay to get the calls correct without the viewing public seeing the review process. I even have a shortcuts setup so the judges monitor can also display the program feed when no review is happening.
