EASING in Overlay presets - I would love the ability to bake in "Easing"

When I create overlay presets (1, 2, 3, 4) it would be AMAZING to be able to set an easing transition to make the overlays come in and out more smoothly. Currently the default is "linear" with no ability to set the easing transition to anything else. It's a bit jarring.
