Howdy,
I have seen the Decklink Quad 2 used successfully in several Thunderbolt Enclosures on this form. Even so I've failed to get it to properly function since so many of them only support 4x lanes instead of the 8x lanes the card requires. I do understand that thunderbolt can't support the bandwidth of 8x lanes even so I only bring the cameras in at 1080 30p which I figured to not be an issue even if I have all 8 being used.
Right now I am using the highpoint rocketstor 6661a successfully with 4 inputs (3,4,7,8) but the other 4 (1,2,5,6) only reguster in the blackmajic desktop video software but no video feed in Vmix.
Any ideas to get the card working?

The Highpoint unit is Thunderbolt 3. What is your PC?

Hi,
The Decklink Quad 2 Card is a PCIe 2 card that will connect to the PCIe bridge at PCIe 2 x8. The PCIe bridge will connect to the Thunderbolt controller at PCIe 3 x4. thunderbolt works in x4
rather use 2 cards decklink duo 2 on 2 slots pcie in Thunderbolt 3 Expansion Chassis
