We are a church currently using Vmix in our main worship service to stream and record. We have a second service that runs at the same time. Currently we are using Youtube as a DVR to feed the video of the preaching to the second service where it is played on a 5-10 minute delay between the two services. This works great, however it relies on internet and we want to take that weak link away. We want to hardwire the camera feed to the second service. We already have fiber installed between buildings and plan to use those to carry the video feed. The key is we need to be able to time slip the feed in the second service and play it when the music is done. Would we be able to run an output from our current vmix computer over fiber to the second service into a second computer with VMix instant replay to then feed our screens ? Has anyone done something like this and would be willing to share tips?

We don't "slip" the time but we've got an overflow seating area that plays real time using NDI Studio Monitor on the PC in the overflow area taking the NDI feed from vMix 4K. If it's the "loud music" problem that has you bringing in the secondary area then you could simply mute the sound on the PC in your secondary area until it's over. Optionally, make sure the "screen" or monitor for the room to see is not the same as the main computer monitor and you can have have a person monitoring the main service on the main monitor and switch it to the room screen at the right moment and unmute the sound as well.

So if the time slip isn't mandatory you have another simple option.
